APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY:

Applications are closed for the remainder of the game.

♦ Please be sure to read the Rules & FAQ, and check the Taken Characters & Reserves pages before submitting your application!

♦ Absolutely no plagiarizing is allowed in your application.

♦ You are allowed to apply for up to two characters per round.

♦ If you reserved a character, you have until 11:59PM EST (GMT-5) on the 5th of the month to apply for them. As of the 6th of the month, that character will also become available to other players if they wish to submit an app for them in the two remaining days of the round. At that point we will treat it on a first-come, first-served basis.

♦ We are not accepting Challenge Applications at this time.

♦ You may either comment with your full application here or post a comment that links to your app instead. Either way, your application must be completely finished before you comment. We reserve the right to decline your app if it is posted before it's completed!

♦ App results will start going out after each round has closed. You should begin receiving replies from the mods on the 8th of each month. If you have not heard from us within four days of the app round closing, feel free to poke us about the status of your app!

♦ Requests for revisions on your application must be answered within four days for the revisions to be considered. Any longer than that, and your application will be declined.

♦ If your app is declined, you may apply for the same character one more time.

We feel that some key points were missed in Ellen's personality section, particularly in regards to her motivations and strengths. Please provide an additional paragraph or two expanding on these points, as well as her character development throughout the series.

Additionally, it looks like you forgot to include what canon point you're playing her from.

Canon Point: After Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 2

Expanded Personality: A lot of Ellen's motivations and personality stem from her major desire to make up for the evil things she had done while she was still in her feline "Seiren" form. As Seiren, Ellen was driven by jealousy and, in some ways, rejection. After being passed over for singing the Melody of Happiness and confirming that she would be someone passed over and rejected, she took glee in harming others, especially trying to undermine the harmonic powers Hibiki and Kanade had, though underneath it all, she was a lonely creature and just wanted a friend. Becoming Ellen full time and showing the potential of becoming a Precure put Ellen in a predicament: despite being free from Mephisto's hold, she was an emotional wild card with Hibiki, Kanade and Hummy trying their hardest to gain her as a friend and her former minions in the form of Trio the Minor attempting to pull her back into their fold. The tipping point to this was when Ellen was forced to watch first hand what her using NegaTones on people she befriended did. At first, she was horrified by it all and was ready to run for it and her responsibility. However, it was Hummy who helped Ellen find her true purpose: to make up for her atrocities.

Of course, that was a case of taking baby steps. Little by little, Ellen would learn to trust her new friends, especially after a small prank by them goes wrong. She also learned that, when it comes down to it, friends are everywhere - you just have to look, something she found out after her first day at school goes disastrously wrong when she ended up passing out due to the fact that she hadn't slept a wink because of her nerves. When she came to, she found herself surrounded by her new classmates, all worried for her. Ultimately, she found out that, yes, she could even return home again. It's these bonds and lessons that she learned that form out Ellen's ultimate lesson and the basis of her personality: that rejection can certainly bring out the worst in people, but in the end, a friendly hand is all that is needed to bring out the best in someone, something that Ellen would pass on to a fairy that had come to be jealous of the Precure and accidentally unleashed a creature that was ready to lock them away

But we noticed you forgot to mention her strengths, and we're looking for some understanding of her sense of justice. Please supply us with just one more paragraph detailing these things!

Personality Expansion the 2nd: Despite Ellen's many flaws, she does have her own strengths. As a former villain, she's not above doing a few sneaky things, though it seems that this boils down to outwitting her foes with a good few words instead of out and out backstabs. Another is her incredible wonder for the outside world. Silly outfits, long and useless notes, if she finds the subject interesting, she goes for it... and probably overprepares for it. Another is the fact that, like many other heroes, when the going gets tough, Ellen finds the strength within her to keep going. This is especially true when she's confronted with something that scares the absolute wits out of her. It might take her awhile to find the strength in that situation, but the safety of her friends and those around her always outweighs the overwhelming fear that is inflicted on her. This last thing ties into her sense of justice itself: as a former villain, she understands the pain and suffering that she's inflicted on so many people. She realizes that those who are attacked by others stronger than them are just innocent people and now refuses to allow them to have their way any longer.
