APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY:

Applications are closed for the remainder of the game.

♦ Please be sure to read the Rules & FAQ, and check the Taken Characters & Reserves pages before submitting your application!

♦ Absolutely no plagiarizing is allowed in your application.

♦ You are allowed to apply for up to two characters per round.

♦ If you reserved a character, you have until 11:59PM EST (GMT-5) on the 5th of the month to apply for them. As of the 6th of the month, that character will also become available to other players if they wish to submit an app for them in the two remaining days of the round. At that point we will treat it on a first-come, first-served basis.

♦ We are not accepting Challenge Applications at this time.

♦ You may either comment with your full application here or post a comment that links to your app instead. Either way, your application must be completely finished before you comment. We reserve the right to decline your app if it is posted before it's completed!

♦ App results will start going out after each round has closed. You should begin receiving replies from the mods on the 8th of each month. If you have not heard from us within four days of the app round closing, feel free to poke us about the status of your app!

♦ Requests for revisions on your application must be answered within four days for the revisions to be considered. Any longer than that, and your application will be declined.

♦ If your app is declined, you may apply for the same character one more time.

We accept detailed Wikipedia links, as long as they provide enough information for someone unfamiliar with the canon to understand your character! If you don't have a Wiki link, then you will need to write this part out. Please be thorough!

[Personality]:
This should be the longest part of your application, and it's also the most important! In your own words, please describe your character to us. We're looking for a comprehensive analysis of your character here. What are they like? What makes them tick? What motivates them? What are some of their personality traits? Again, be thorough! This is where we make sure you have a firm grasp on your character!

[Abilities / Strengths & Weaknesses]:
Is your character a skilled fighter? Can they use magic? What are they exceptionally good at? What makes them run in terror?

[Limited Powers]:
Characters are still allowed to have powers, but remember that they should be limited! You can mostly use your own judgement, but things to keep in mind are that we don't want characters flying from island to island, and characters shouldn't be too insanely powerful. Let us know if/how you'll be limiting what your character can do!

[Other Important Facts]:
Anything else you think we should know about your character can go here!

This should be a sample post for High Seas, as if you were posting in

piratejournal. We are not looking for 3rd-person POV samples here! No prose please. Again, this is your character writing an entry in their journal! So -- Has your character just arrived? Are they on a treasure hunt? Is the Navy after them? Are they ransacking an island? Any topic is fine, we just want to see what a post from your character would look like.
